COLLEGE SELECTION
Student-athletes are required to register and meet the academic eligibility standards set by the National Collegiate Athletic Association Clearinghouse (NCAA Clearinghouse) in order to receive an athletic scholarship. Beyond those NCAA requirements, individual colleges and universities set there own standards of academic requirements for admission. The recruiting process is most successful when student-athletes and their parents are well prepared to select the appropriate college or university that best fits their needs. This preparation begins long before a student athlete is recruited. Student-athletes’ spend multiple hours perfecting skills in a particular sport to allow them to reach the stage for college recruitment. The student-athlete must spend many more hours in the classroom and studying for college acceptance. It is the time and effort spent in the classroom and athletic development that will determine what type of college or university the student-athlete will be able to attend! At insight Recruiting our goal is that each of our members should have the option to select his/her school of choice. Therefore, insight will provide guidance and resource information throughout our members’ tenure, to enable him/her to more than meet the requirements for his or her college selection.
